We recommend shoes that are flat, widest at the tips of the toes and flexible in the sole. This shoe list emphasizes footwear that encourages natural foot and body movement, optimizes foot strength and promotes proper toe alignment. Brands and models in this list may meet one of two possible certifications: Correct Toes Approved or Works for Some.
Correct Toes Approved:
Zero Drop: in other words no elevation in the heel
No toe spring (or the sole is flexible enough that the toes come flat when loaded)
Wide at the toes: allows natural toe spread
Flexible sole: allows natural movement of the foot
In barefoot shoes with the "Correct Toes Approved" label, most people will be able to wear Correct Toes.
Works for Some:
Barefoot Shoes with the "Works for Some" label meet the above points BUT:
with these shoes, the Correct Toes will fit some and not others. If you have very wide feet, then there is a real possibility that these shoes will be too narrow to wear with Correct Toes You may need to make adjustments to your Correct Toes to wear with these shoes.
Attention: As you can see, not all the models we offer are in this list. So does this necessarily mean that the shoes are not compatible with Correct Toes? Of course not, it just means that these shoes have not been specifically tested by Correct Toes. After all, it's impossible for Correct Toes to start testing every model of every brand individually.
