Because barefoot shoes require your foot muscles to work more actively, blood flow to your feet is much better. As a result, some people will have warmer feet than with classic shoes.
On the other hand, the sole of a barefoot shoe is obviously much thinner. This obviously has an impact in colder conditions.
Solutions against cold feet
Barefoot winter shoes: there are also specific winter versions within barefoot shoes. These are generally shoes with a woollen, felt or flannel lining. This lining will keep your feet nice and warm. Note: this lining often affects the size of your shoes!
Of course, it is not always necessary to wear a real winter shoe. There are also a whole host of (semi-)high models that you can wear in winter with thicker socks and just keep wearing them in spring or autumn.
You can also simply replace the sole of your summer shoes with a warm insole.

Barefoot winter shoes
